Mi Flash 20220507 Fixed

Mobilecareid.com- Xiaomi Flash Tool (Mi Flash Tool) is the official Windows-based software developed by Xiaomi for flashing firmware or Fastboot ROMs on Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices. This tool is a lifesaver when a smartphone experiences system issues or when users want to change the software type.

Mi Flash Tool Main Functions

Resolve Bootloop: Fix a phone that fails to enter the main menu and is stuck on the Xiaomi logo.

Change ROM Region: Change the software from a distributor/counterfeit ROM to an official ROM for Global, Indonesia, or another region.

Upgrade or Downgrade: Update the system to the latest version (such as HyperOS or MIUI) or downgrade it to an older version if the new version is unstable.

Unbrick: Recover a device that has been completely bricked due to software corruption (via EDL mode for Qualcomm chipsets).

Relock Bootloader: Restore the phone's security status to locked for security or warranty claims.

Available Flashing Options

At the bottom of the Mi Flash Tool application, there are three execution method options that users must understand:

Clean All: Erases all user data and resets the phone to factory settings, but leaves the bootloader unlocked (UBL).

Save User Data: Flashes the system without erasing the phone's internal data. This option is only recommended for similar version updates.

Clean All and Lock: Erases all internal data and automatically relocks the bootloader upon completion.

Mandatory Requirements Before Use

The installation process using this tool carries a high risk if the following procedures are not followed:

Unlock Bootloader (UBL): The phone must be in an unlocked bootloader state for the system to allow external installation via PC.

Use Fastboot ROM: The downloaded firmware must be in .tgz format, not .zip (.zip is only for local recovery).

Data Backup: Ensure important data has been transferred as most flashing options will wipe the internal memory.

Log Out of Accounts: It is highly recommended to log out of your Mi Account and Google Account first to avoid activation locking the phone after restarting.
